Freedom Day 2004 Fly-past Video We have added a video taken by a friend on the South African Freedom Day 2004 in Pretoria. The video shows some of the air displays held overhead the Union Buildings. Most impressive is the performance of the three SAA aircraft, two Boeing 747 and one Airbus A340-600. The angle the video was taken from is not ideal, but it's still worth seeing. The video is approximately 4 minutes long. There's a low quality version of 19 MB and a high quality version of 128 MB.

The New Aviation Portal for Southern Africa AfricanPlanes went live on the 25th of May 2006.The idea behind this website is to offer information and services to people involved and/or interested in aviation in South Africa. This project is run by a group of individuals with professions in the IT industry and a passion for flying (and OpenSource software). Please consider this portal a work in progress. We encourage visitors to contribute to the further development of this website by giving us their input in the form of suggestions, bug-reports, web links, etc. |
